5. Rinse machine o f f immediately w i t h
clean water and d r y all surfaces w i t h a
chamois, clean t o w e l , or soft absorbent
c l o t h .
6. Immediately after washing, remove ex-
cess moisture f r o m chain and lubricate
t o prevent rust.
7. Chrome-plated parts such as handlebars,
rims, forks, etc., may be further cleaned
w i t h automotive chrome cleaner.
8. Clean the seat w i t h a v i n y l upholstery
cleaner to keep the cover pliable and
glossy.
9. A u t o m o t i v e - t y p e wax may be applied t o
all painted and chrome-plated surfaces.
A v o i d c o m b i n a t i o n cleaner waxes. Many
contain abrasives w h i c h may mar paint
or protective finish on fuel and oil tanks.
