If the recorder is being installed for the first time, or if the recorder has reverted to
its factory default settings, it will be necessary to reconfigure the recorder settings
to enable direct control from the PINPOINT camera.
To configure the Sony 1000MD recorder:

Press the MENU button on the front panel of the recorder. The main recorder
menu opens on the display.
Using the arrow buttons on the front panel, navigate to Settings and press the
ENTER button.
In the Settings menu, select System Admin Settings and press the ENTER
button.
