Disassembly
To check the air vent, close the two isolation valves upstream (1) and
downstream (2) of the system separator.
Remove the pressure gauge plugs on the test connections (3&4).
Install the maintenance ball valves (3&4).
Open the maintenance ball valves (3&4) to depressurise the fitting.
Install the needle valves (A&B) of the measuring device on the
maintenance ball valves (3&4).
Install the measuring device.
Open both isolation valves (1&2).
Vent the fitting via the two needle valves and draw off some water. Then
close the needle valves again.
Close the isolation valves (1&2).
Slowly reduce the pressure via needle valve A.
Monitor the drain funnel. When the first drops occur on the drain funnel, the
differential pressure must be greater than 140 mbar, otherwise soiling or a
mechanical defect exists.
Open needle valve A and depressurise the medium pressure chamber until
it is completely empty.
STBA 200/400: Checking is only possible if a hose nozzle and hose are
connected. To check the outlet backflow preventer (RV2), open the outlet
side isolation valve (2). If the drain funnel drips water, it is possible that
either a mechanical defect or soiling of the RV2 exists.
Close both maintenance ball valves (3&4).
Remove the measuring device and refit the pressure gauge plugs in the
test connections.
Open both isolation valves (1&2).
The cleaning/maintenance process is completed.
Checking the pressure reducer (OPTIONAL)
Check the proper functioning of the pressure reducer.
Inspect the device at regular intervals and in any event at least once per
year.

Disassembly
DANGER
Risk of serious injury or death due to electric shock.
If live parts are touched, there is risk of life-threatening injuries.
Ensure that the supply cable to the device is disconnected and secured
against being switched back on.
Ensure that the system is secured and cannot be reactivated by other
persons.
Ensure that installation work for the electric connection of the device is
carried out by an electrician, and in compliance with electrical locally
applicable electrical engineering regulations.
DANGER
Risk of serious injury or death due to electric shock
Some parts of the device's circuit board may still be live with 230 V even after
the voltage supply has been disconnected.
Before you remove the covers, completely isolate the device controller
from the voltage supply.
Verify that the main circuit board is voltage-free.
CAUTION
Risk of burns
Escaping hot medium can cause burns.
Maintain a sufficient distance from the escaping medium.
Wear suitable personal protective equipment (safety gloves and
goggles).
CAUTION
Risk of burns on hot surfaces
Hot surfaces in heating systems can cause burns to the skin.
Wait until hot surfaces have cooled down or wear protective safety
gloves.
The operating authority is required to place appropriate warning signs
in the vicinity of the device.

CAUTION
Risk of injury due to pressurised liquid
If installation or maintenance work is not carried out correctly, there is a risk
of burns and other injuries at the connection points, if pressurised hot water
or steam suddenly escapes.
Ensure proper disassembly.
Wear suitable personal protective equipment (safety gloves and safety
goggles, for example).
Ensure that the system is de-pressurised before performing the
disassembly.
Proceed as follows:
1.
Prior to disassembly, block off all "water"-side connections to the device.
2.
Disconnect the system from the power supply and secure the system to
prevent switching back on.
3.
Disconnect the power plug of the device from the voltage supply.
4.
Disconnect and remove cables routed from the system to the device
controller.
5.
Undo all hose and pipe connections between the device and the system
and remove them completely.
6.
Drain all water from the device.
7.
If necessary, physically remove the device from the system area.
Disassembly of the device has been completed.
The intentional or unintentional reuse of used components can result in a hazard
for persons, the environment and the system.
Therefore, please observe the following points:
The operating company is responsible for proper disposal.
Only to be disposed of by specialist personnel.
Drain operating liquids and consumables into suitable collection containers
and dispose of correctly.
Upon conclusion of the useful life, strip the system down into different
separable materials and deliver to a specialist company for recycling.
Dispose of the product at the end its useful life in a waste stream
separate from unsorted household waste.
Take the product to a suitable disposal point for recycling electrical
and electronic equipment.
Observe the laws applicable in your country on waste recycling and
disposal.
