14. Procedure
14.1. Use and handling by dental technician
Gently open the outer packaging and take out the blister box. Gently open
the blister to access the Elos Accurate® Hybrid Base™.
14.1.1. Manufacture the dental restoration
Recommended dental restoration material for Elos Accurate® Hybrid
Base™ Engaging (permanent restorations):
•

Compatible design software: 3Shape, Exocad, and Dental Wings.
Caution:
•
Ensure to follow the selected dental restoration material minimum
wall thickness and parameters according to the material supplier's
instruction for use.
•
The dental restoration must be manufactured with milling equipment
adequate for the designed geometry.
•
A precise milling of the geometry requires millers of 1 mm in diameter
or smaller.
•
The dental restoration should if applicable be sintered in accordance
with the instruction issued by the ceramic material supplier.
Using digital workflow (intra oral scanning):
1.
Import the digitized patient situation from the dental clinical intraoral
scan to the design software by use of Elos Accurate® Scan Body in
order to identify the position and orientation of the respective implant.
Import library file from Elos Medtech's webpage and select relevant
2.
implant platform from the library to facilitate precise design of inner
geometry of the dental restoration interfacing the Elos Accurate®
Hybrid Base™
3.
Design dental restoration in the design software or scanned teeth set
up validated from the clinic in the patient's mouth.
4.
Export STL file to milling equipment. The STL file contains the
required milling template for the inner geometry of the dental
restoration.
5.
Process and finalize the dental restoration in milling equipment
according to the manufacturer's instruction for use.
6.
Create a digital working model in the design software.
7.
Export the STL file from the design software and send the STL file to
your 3D printer or external 3D print provider.
8.
Place an Elos Accurate® Model Analog for printed models in the 3D
printed working model.
Using semi-digital workflow (desktop scanning):
1.
Create working model and place an Elos Accurate® Model Analog
appropriately in the model.
2.
Place an Elos Accurate® Scan Body in the model analog.
3.
By use of the Elos Accurate® Scan Body, scan the working model.
4.
Remaining steps as for the digital workflow.

14.1.2. Preparing the dental restoration for cementing
1.
Blast inner geometry of the milled dental restoration interfacing the
Elos Accurate® Hybrid Base™with aluminum oxide 50-150 µm and
blasting pressure of 2 bar.
2.
Clean the bonding surface of restoration and Elos Accurate® Hybrid
Base™ thoroughly with alcohol or with KATANA™ Cleaner by
Kuraray Noritake.
Note: Do not Blast the Elos Accurate® Hybrid Base™.
14.1.3. Cementing the dental restoration
1.
Seal the screw channels with wax.
2.
Apply a primer to the bonding surface of zirconia and Elos Accurate®
Hybrid Base™ and let it react according to manufactures instruction.
3.
Apply self-adhesive dental cement on the Elos Accurate® Hybrid
Base™. Follow the instruction for use of both the dental restoration
material and cement material manufacturer. Bond the milled dental
restoration to the Elos Accurate® Hybrid Base™placed in the working
model or in the patients mouth. The milled dental restoration must fit
the Elos Accurate® Hybrid Base™ without gaps and voids.
4.
Immediately remove excess cement from the Elos Accurate® Hybrid
Base™.
One of following bonding agents is recommended.
Primer / Cement
Kuraray Noritake CLEARFIL™
CERAMIC PRIMER PLUS /
PANAVIA™ V5
Ivoclar Vivadent® Monobond Plus /
Multilink® Hybrid Abutment
3M™ Scotchbond™ Universal Plus
Adhesive / RelyX™ Universal
Resin Cement

15. Use and handling for the dentist
The dentist receives the final dental restoration / working model with the
Prosthetic screw from the dental lab.
1.
Identify and unpack the Prosthetic screw(s).
2.
Clean, disinfect and sterilize dental restoration and Prosthetic
screw(s) according to this instruction for use.
3.
Remove the healing cap, closure screw or temporary restoration from
patient's mouth.
Gently, insert the dental restoration into the patient's mouth in proper
4.
position to the implant(s) or abutment(s).
5.
Place corresponding Prosthetic screw(s) in the dental restoration and
tighten screws using torque values specified by the implant
manufacturer.
6.
Additionally, if cementing of the dental restoration and the Elos
Accurate® Hybrid Base™ has to be done intraorally, place the Elos
Accurate® Hybrid Base™ in the milled dental restoration with correct
rotation.
7.
Cementing the dental restoration according to section 14.1.3.
