ATTENZIONE! - Se con commutatore di ac-
censione inserito (vedi ON «QD» di fig. 3), la
spia «verde» sul cruscotto non si illumina, segnala
che ilcambio ha una marcia innestata; l'avviamento
del motore in tali condizioni può essere pericoloso;
è sempre bene, prima dell'avviamento accertarsi
che il cambio sia effettivamente in posizione di
«folle».
Avviamento a motore caldo
Come a motore freddo, salvo che non occorre portare
la levetta comando «CHOKE» in posizione di avvia-
mento («1» di fig. 4).
ATTENZIONE!
- Il motorino di avviamento
non deve essere azionato per oltre 5 secondi;
se il motore non parte, attendere 10 secondi prima
di eseguire il successivo avviamento. In ogni caso
agire sul pulsante di azionamento A «(7)» di fig. 5
solo a motore fermo.
In marcia
Per cambiare marcia, chiudere il gas, azionare a fondo
la leva della frizione ed innestare la successiva marcia;
rilasciare dolcemente la leva della frizione e contempo-
raneamente accelerare.
Il pedale di comando cambio va azionato con decisione
accompagnandolo con il piede.
Quando si passa alle marce inferiori usate gradualmen-
te i freni e la chiusura della manopola comando gas,
onde evitare di mandare fuori giri il motore, ne! mo-
mento del rilascio della leva comando frizione.
ATTENTION! - If the «green» warning light
does not come on when the ignition switch is
on (see ON st Än in fig. 3) this means that a gear is
engaged; starting the vehicle in this condition could
be dangerous.
Before starting, always check that the engine is in
«neutral».
Warm start
Follow the same procedure as that for the cold start but
without the «CHOKE» control in the start position («1»,
fig. 4).
ATTENTION!
- The starter motor should not
be operated for more than 5 seconds; if the
engine doesn't start, wait for 10 seconds before the
following starting operation. Anyway act on the
starter button A «(7)» in fig. 5 only with the engine
completely stopped.
On the way
To change gear, shut the throttle, disengage the clutch
fully and engage the next gear; then engage the clutch
gradually while opening the throttle.
The gear change pedal should be operated firmly and
surely.
When changing down use the brakes gradually and
close the throttle gradually to avoid over-reving the
engine, when releasing the ciutch lever.
