m CAUTION
Do not use a fuel mixture that has been stored for
longer than 90 days.
m CAUTION
Do not use 2-stroke oil product with a mixing ratio of
100:1. Insufficient oil will damage the engine and, in
this case, void the warranty for the motor.
m CAUTION
Only use containers designed and approved for
transporting and storing fuels. Fill the correct quan-
tities of petrol and 2-stroke oil into the mixing con-
tainer supplied (see the scale printed on the contain-
er). Then sake the container well.
Recommended fuels
Some conventional gasolines are blended with ingre-
dients such as alcohol or ether compounds to meet
the standards for clean exhaust gases. The engine
runs satisfactorily with all grades of gasoline, but for
the purpose of self-propulsion with oxygenated gaso-
lines, it is best to use regular gasoline.
At best, use regular unleaded gasoline.
Oiling of the chain and bar
Every time the fuel tank is filled with gasoline, oil
must also be added to the chain oil tank.
It is recommended to use commercial chain oil.
6. FUEL MIXING TABLE

m CAUTION
Never start or operate the chainsaw if the chain and
the chain brake lever or the front hand guard have
not been properly installed. In addition, always start
with the chain brake active. Proceed as follows for
this:
• Grasp the rear grip with the right hand.
• Hold the front grip firmly with the left hand (fig. 1 /
item 6) (not the chain brake lever) (fig. 1 / item 5).
• Pull the chain brake (fig. 10 / arrow direction 1).
• Fill the fuel tank with the correct fuel mixture (fig.
21 / item K).
• Fill the oil tank with chain oil (fig. 21 / item L).
• Ensure that the chain brake is released before
starting the motor (fig. 11 / item 5). Refer to sec-
tion 8 under „Releasing the chain brake" for how
to release the chain brake

• After filling the fuel and chain oil tanks, close the
tank lid by hand.
• Do not use tools to do so.
7. ADJUSTING THE IDLE SPEED
If the cutting tool still rotates at idle, have an author-
ised service centre set the correct idle speed
Note: If the motor is running at idle speed, the
cutting tool must not rotate under any circum-
stances!
7. Operation
Note that the statutory regulations on noise preven-
tion can vary from one place to another.
Check the following each time before use:
• There are no leaks in the fuel system.
• The device is in perfect condition and the safety
and cutting devices are complete.
• All screws are fully tightened.
• All moving parts move freely.
Starting the cold motor (see fig. 21 and fig. 27)
Fill the fuel tank with the correct mixture of petrol and
oil (fig. 21) and also fill the chain oil (fig. 21). See the
"Fuel and oil" section.
m CAUTION
Never start or operate the chainsaw if the chain and
the chain brake lever or the front hand guard have not
been properly installed. In addition, always start with
the chain brake active. Proceed as follows for this:
• Grasp the rear grip with the right hand.
• Hold the front grip firmly with the left hand (fig. 1 /
item 6) (not the chain brake lever) (fig. 1 / item 5).
• Pull the chain brake (fig. 10 / arrow direction 1).
Releasing the chain brake
1. Switch the stop switch to '0' (OFF) (fig. 19).
2. Pull the air flap lever (17) out completely until it
locks in place (fig. 18 / arrow direction 1).
3. Press the fuel pump ball (23) 10 times (fig. 1).
4. Place the saw on a solid and level surface. Hold
the saw tight as shown. Pull the starter cord (7)
quickly 2 times (fig. 22 and fig. 27). Pay attention
to the moving chain!
5. Push the air flap lever in as far as possible (fig.
18 / arrow direction 2).
6. Switch the stop switch to 'I' (ON) to start the mo-
tor (fig. 19 / right).
7. Hold the saw tight and pull the start cord quickly 4
times. The motor should start (fig. 22 and fig. 27).
