If the switchover temperatures are exceeded or not reached, the pump automatically
switches between heating and cooling.
If the heating
switchover temperature
in the fluid is exceeded,
the pump operates
in heating mode.
If there is a fall below
the cooling switchover
temperature in the fluid,
the pump operates
in cooling
mode.
For an external switchover between "Heating/cooling", select "Binary input" in the "Heating/
cooling switchover" menu.
The pump switches via
an external signal at the
binary input between
heating and cooling.
The binary input must be set to "Switching heating/cooling" function.
The following applications can be selected via the setting assistant:

NOTICE
If the switchover temperature for heating in the fluid is exceeded, the
pump operates in heating mode.
If the fluid temperature drops below the cooling switchover temperature,
the pump operates in cooling mode.
Once the set switchover temperatures have been reached, the pump ini-
tially switches to "Standby" for 15 minutes and then runs in the other
mode.
In the temperature range between the two switchover temperatures, the
pump remains inactive. It conveys the fluid occasionally only for measuring
the temperature.
Proceed as follows to prevent inactivity:
• Set the switchover temperatures for heating and cooling to the same
temperature.
• Select the switchover method using a binary input.
NOTICE
When using the heating/cooling quantity measurement, the energy is au-
tomatically logged in the respective correct counter for heat and cooling
energy meter.
