Operation
CAUTION
Ultra high frequency electromagnetic waves
The antenna of the read/write head emits ultra-high-
frequency electromagnetic waves. Additional measures
must be taken to prevent health hazards.
► Determine the mounting position of the antenna in
such a way that a safety distance of at least 20 cm
between the antenna and workplaces of persons is
ensured.
► Make sure that people do not stay in the vicinity of
the antenna for an extended period of time.
► Use suitable measures to shield areas that are
explicitly not to be covered.
If Pin 2 is used as switching output, observe the
maximum current limit
(See Technical data on page 79).

write head out of operation.
Secure the system against unauthorized use.
Check fasteners and retighten if needed.
7.5

Cleaning

The UHF RFID read/write head can be cleaned with a
high-pressure cleaner. The device cannot reliably access
data carriers during cleaning.
All ECOLAB cleaning agents can be used to remove dirt.
To avoid damaging the front cap of the read/write head
during the cleaning process, use a soft cloth, but do not
use rough materials.
