In addition to the data rate between the read/write head
and the data carrier, the coding and link frequency of the
data carrier response can also be specified, whereby these
three variables have the following mathematical
relationship:
RXLinkFrequency = n × RXBitrate
The following applies:
n = 1 at FM0
n = 2, 4 or 8 for Miller-n
The coding and RX bit rate determine which frequency
range is used for the data carrier response. The practical
benefit here is to find a balance between occupied
bandwidth and EMC immunity for the required RX data
rate.
In principle, however, it should be noted that a high RX link
frequency corresponds to a higher bandwidth of the data
carrier signal.
When setting the radio profile, a compromise must be
found between the required data rate, immunity to
interference and bandwidth. The preset radio profile (profile
no. 4) represents this compromise and forms the middle
ground between moderate bandwidth and good immunity
to interference.

depends on the country variant of the
BIS U-4A7 used, as national regulations require
some radio profiles to be excluded. For
country-specific details on conformity and
