Removing the vent filter of the steam valve from the inside of the lid
Gently pull out the filter, to release it. Then clean it under running
water. Dry it thoroughly. Then put it back in its original position. Check
the steam valve for contamination on the inside and the outside of the
lid, and clean if necessary. Then refit the strainer in its original posi-
tion. You should hear a click. The vent filter must be fitted back tightly
to the inside of the lid.
Caution! Only operate the appliance when the valve strainer is
fitted.
Checking the safety valve (2)
Ensure that the safety valve (2) is working properly by gently pushing
it outwards from the inside with your finger. No debris or food residue
should be stuck to it.
Caution! Never try to unscrew the safety valve.
