Steaming programme
Time:
Preset
Keep-warm:
Delayed start:
With this programme, you can steam vegetables, fillets of fish, or dumplings in a gentle, healthy way
because steam does not alter the food's cellular structure. Vegetables remain aromatic, firm to the bite
and also retain their natural colours. Vital vitamins are also not lost through overcooking. Steaming is
ideal for vegetarian and vegan cooking.
1. Fill up with water up to the "MIN" mark on the inside of the pan (6) and put the steam basket
stand (17) in the pan.
2. Now fill the steam basket (16) with the food to be cooked, before starting the programme.
Warning: Never operate the programme with an empty pan (6), to avoid overheating and fire.
Never overfill the pan. Always follow the scale and maximum quantities on the inside of the pan.
When cooking food that expands during the cooking process, e.g. rice or dried vegetables,
the cooker must not be filled more than half way.
Warning: This appliance is not to be used as a deep fryer. Depending on the cooking pro-
gramme, only use some tee spoons of oil for cooking.
This is particularly important if you are preparing dishes that froth, swell or spray during cooking.
Food can overcook and run into the appliance or block the valves. The appliance could overheat
and pressure escape explosively, leading to injury and material damage from hot steam and liquids.
3. Close the lid and ensure it is completely supported on the appliance. Turn the lid handle clockwise
as far as it will go. A beep signals that the lid is fully closed.
4. Proceed as described in the sections "Starting a cooking programme with individual settings" or
"Starting a cooking programme with preset values".
Caution: The appliance gets hot. Risk of scalding from steam. Do not move the 8-in-1 multi-
functional cooker when it is under pressure. Do not touch the hot surfaces. Use the handle for
this. If necessary, use gloves. Never put your hands, arms or face over the appliance during its
operation or shortly afterwards, to avoid burns from steam, hot water or food.

Cooking rice and pulses programme
Time:
Pressure reduction:
Preset
Keep-warm:
Delayed start:
This cooking programme is particularly suitable for careful preparation of the most diverse types of
rice and pulses. Weigh the rice exactly and wash it under cold water if required under the instructions.
Some types of pulses need to be soaked in water for 6 to 8 hours before cooking to rehydrate them.
They may swell in the process.
1. Proceed as described in the section "Preparing and switching on the appliance".
2. Fill the pan (6) with the amount of water given in the rice table. Then add the rice.
Warning: Never operate the programme with an empty pan (6), to avoid overheating and fire.
Never overfill the pan. Always follow the scale and maximum quantities on the inside of the pan.
