The Lono 8-in-1 multi-functional cooker offers 8 different cooking programmes: pressure cooking,
slow cooking, steaming, cooking rice and pulses, braising, heating, searing and preserving. The time,
pressure or temperature are preset for each programme. These can be adjusted according to the recipe,
quantity of dishes cooked and your personal taste.

Preparing and switching on the appliance
1. Set the appliance up on a smooth, dry, heat- and damp-resistant surface that is dust-free.
2. Turn the lid handle (14) anticlockwise as far as it will go and lift up the lid until it stays in an open
position.
3. Always make sure that the lid is correctly put together and both valves (1, 2) and the pressure bar
(12) in the lid are completely free from residue and debris and are freely moveable. Carefully clean
the valves and pressure bar when required, as described in the "Cleaning and care" section.
4. Take the pan (6) and accessories out of the oven chamber and make sure the outside of the pan
and hotplate are completely clean and free from stubborn residue.
5. Make sure that the condensate container (13) at the back of the appliance is empty and properly
inserted in the holder.
6. Put the pan (6) back in the oven chamber (7).
7. Plug in the back of the appliance to an earthed wall socket that has been installed in accordance
with the regulations. A beep sounds and the light ring around the start/stop button flashes. The
appliance is in standby mode.
8. Press the start/stop button again. A further beep sounds. The light ring around the start/stop but-
ton is off. The „Menu" icon flashes and the display shows "-- --".

1. Proceed as described in the section "Preparing and switching on the appliance".

Warning: During the heating-up phase, regardless of the cooking programme, steam may
escape from the steam valve (1) and pressure bar (12). This is normal. The process means steam is
sometimes released by the steam valve. This is also normal. Never put your hands, arms or face
over the appliance during its operation or shortly afterwards, to avoid burns from steam, hot
water or food.
Note: During the heating-up phase and the cooking process, the selected settings can be displayed
by turning the rotary button (22) and changed as described in this section.

Note: After the end of a cooking programme, shake the appliance with the lid closed to destroy
any steam bubbles inside the pot.
Caution! Meat cooked in the skin (e.g. poultry, tongue) can form steam bubbles because of
the effect of the pressure. Do not pierce the skin while these bubbles are visible, as you could
scald yourself.
Note: By pressing any key, you can return to standby mode and the display shows "-- --".

the time has elapsed, the appliance switches automatically to standby mode. You can also stop this

Tip: We recommend dishes are kept warm for one hour, to preserve quality and taste.
