Description and operation of the safety devices
Safety device Description
Pressure Control Switch Captures mechanical deforma-
tion of the oven chamber (7)
caused by increased pressure. If
the pressure inside rises above
the maximum control pressure,
the Pressure Control Switch
turns off the heater and pre-
vent further pressure build-up.
As soon as the pressure drops
again to the maximum control
pressure, the Pressure Control
Switch turns on the heater
again and the device works as
intended.
Steam or Weight Valve Closes the oven chamber (7) by
its weight. When the pressure
in the oven chamber rises
above the maximum control
pressure, the pressure force is
higher than the weight force of
the valve. The valve opens and
steam escapes. The pressure in
the oven chamber decreases
until the weight force of the
valve is again higher than the
pressure force. The valve closes
again.
Safety Valve Prevents, in addition to the
Pressure Control Switch and the
Steam Valve, a too high pres-
sure inside the oven chamber

Pressure Bar Locks the lid mechanically as
long as pressure is in the oven
chamber (7)

Overview of display and symbols
Symbol Description
Segment display
Shows time and temperatures.
Temperature unit display
Heating (successively flashing bars):
The appliance is heating up to preset or manually
set temperature.
Pressure cooking (bars lit all the time):
The device is cooking under pressure. The lid can-
not be opened. The bars are lit continuously until
the set time is up.
Cooking without pressure:
The bar lights go out once the temperature is
reached.
Pressure in the appliance (simultaneous flash-
ing bars):
There is still pressure in the appliance and the
lid cannot be opened. Wait until the bars stop
flashing.
End
Ends the set cooking programme.
Pressure reduction
Choice of pressure reduction. Only for pressure
programmes.
Temperature
Choice of temperature. Only for slow cooking
Possible settings
Celsius (°C)
Fahrenheit (°F)
Switch to standby mode ("-- --"
display) by pushing the EXIT
button for 3 seconds. Then
select and confirm using the
rotary button (20).
