6.4.2 Initialisation

MultiControl II duo and MultiControl II quadro assembly instructions
An initialisation run on the drives must take place before putting
into service.
Special caution must be taken with the mechanical connection of
the drives! With a mechanical connection and an asynchronous
run, there is a risk of breakage.
6.4.2.1

When do you have to perform an initialisation run?

An initialisation run must always be carried out if
• a control is put into operation for the first time,
• the number of connected drives has changed,
• the control has been reset to the factory settings,
• two to eight controls are connected to move the drives synchronously or,
• there is a corresponding error (see chapter „6.10 Error messages and
troubleshooting").
"Slaves" (via controls that are connected via Sync-BUS) and drives are searched
for during the first initialisation run.
6.4.2.2

Performing initialisation

We recommend that you perform the initialisation with a hand switch with 6
function keys and display. On the display, you can read when the top and bottom
end positions are reached.
For the drives to move, an initialisation run must have been successfully completed.
• Ensure that all drives and controls are interconnected and that the mains
plug is not connected. The system must be without current for at least 30
seconds.
• On the hand switch, press the "DOWN" and "UP" key simultaneously.
Press and hold them.
• Now plug in the mains plug again and wait for about 5 seconds.
-›› The LED power indicator flashes red and green alternately.
• Release the keys.
