6.3
Connecting system components
6.3.1 Connecting drives to MultiControl II duo
You can connect up to two drives per control.
6.3.2 Connecting drives to MultiControl II quadro
You can connect up to four drives per control.
When using a MultiControl II quadro, it can be
assigned as follows:
When using...
>... one drive: M1
>... two drives: M1+M2 or M1+M3
>... three drives: M1+M2+M3 or M1+M3+M4
>... four drives: M1+M2+M3+M4
If assigned differently, the drives will not be detected by the control.
MultiControl II duo and MultiControl II quadro assembly instructions
• Plug the cable for the first drive into socket
M1.
• Connect the second drive (if equipped)
with the control to the socket M2
If only one drive is connected to the control, it must always
be plugged into socket M1. Otherwise the controller will
not recognise the drive.
Only drives with the same configuration should be used for
all controls.
The E11 and E12 contouring errors may appear when using
the 3 m extension cable for drives due to the greater line
resistance (see chapter 6.10). In this case, the travel speed
must be reduced.
