6.5.4 Initialisation
MultiControl II duo and MultiControl II quadro assembly instructions
An initialisation run on the drives must take place before putting
into service.
Special caution must be taken with the mechanical connection of
the drives! With a mechanical connection and an asynchronous
run, there is a risk of breakage.
6.5.4.1
When do you have to perform an initialisation run?
An initialisation run must always be carried out if
• a control is put into operation for the first time,
• the number of connected drives has changed,
• the control has been reset to the factory settings,
• two to eight controls are connected to move the drives synchronously,
• the hand switch display shows "Start the initialization?" or
• there is a corresponding error (see chapter „6.10 Error messages and
troubleshooting") or
• the drive group management function was activated. (The initialisation
run is performed for each active group.)
"Slaves" (via controls that are connected via Sync-BUS) and drives are searched
for during the first initialisation run.
6.5.4.2
Performing initialisation
Ensure that all drives and hand switches are connected to the control and that
the mains plug is connected.
For the drives to move, an initialisation run must have been
successfully completed.
