MultiControl II duo and MultiControl II quadro assembly instructions
Using a connection cable, you can connect the controls to each other through
the "DATA" interfaces (see 6.2.2). If more than two controls are connected, the
BUS cable must have terminating resistors of 120 Ohm at each end. A maximum
of eight controls can be connected to each other through the Sync-BUS.
Proceed as follows to connect the controls:
• Connect all of the controls that should be moved synchronously using
bus connection cables.
• Also connect the drives to the controls.
• Connect the hand switch with 6 function keys and display to the planned
"Master control".
• Press the "M" key to get to the menu.
• Select the "Control" menu item.
• Enter the password "13121" using the function keys and the "UP" and
"DOWN" keys.
• Select the "Sync-BUS settings" menu item.
• Select the "Start search for controls" item. Confirm the selection with
function key 1.
-›› All connected controls will be reset. The number of detected controls
is determined by the "Master control" and shown in the display. Each
connected "Slave" control is assigned an address between 2 and 8. This
number is displayed on the hand switch by the "Slave" controls as soon
as one is connected. The total number of all connected drives is also
detected and displayed.
• As soon as the total number of controls and drives matches, confirm it
with function key 1.
• Perform an initialisation run as described in chapter 6.5.4.
If you wish to individually operate a control in Sync-BUS again, you
must first terminate the BUS association. To do so, select the "Control"
→ "Sync-BUS settings" → "Deactivate BUS connection" menu item.
