Use / Operators

3.1

Proper use

Intended use of the MultiControl II duo and MultiControl II quadro controls include electromotive
adjustment of movable furniture components or comparable items.
The controls may be used only if they are connected to the drives listed in these instructions in
chapter „6.7 Suitable drives".
Generally, use must be restricted to dry rooms and it should not be used outdoors.
Any other use is considered to be non-intended. In event of improper use of this control, RK
Rose+Krieger GmbH is no longer liable and its general operating licence will expire.
3.2

Reasonably foreseeable misuse

• Controlling unsuitable drives
• Overloading appropriate drives
• Exceeding the duty cycle of the control or drives
• Operation with damage to the mains supply, housing, motor lead, hand switch or
other control lines (PLC, PC, etc.)
• Operation with the control housing open
• Use outdoors
• Use in an environment with rel. humidity below < 30% or above > 75%
• Use in an atmosphere containing solvents
• Storage in an environment with high air humidity > dewpoint
• Contact with paints containing solvents
• Use in an environment in which it can be expected that combustible and explosive
gases or vapours might be present
• Failure to comply with the rated voltage specified on the control's type plate with a
maximum tolerance of ± 10%
• Failure to maintain the highest/lowest ambient temperature limits:
+40 °C/+5 °C
• Non-compliance with the assembly instructions
