Coil spring retainer and preload spring
1
Slide the coil spring retainer onto the M3 screw with the indent side facing down. Then slide
the preload spring onto the M3 screw.
2
Place the mag head arm spring on the mounting socket.
3
The audio arm has a small hole for the upwards facing end of the mag head arm spring.
When installing the sub assembly, insert the upwards end of the spring into the hole.
4
Once you have placed these springs on the sub assembly and onto the mounting socket,
you can attach the sub assembly to the reader. Simply follow the instructions from the
previous sections in reverse order.
TIP
When attaching the sub assembly to the reader, make sure the audio arm PCB
connector is threaded through the small hole in the main PCB.
With the sub assembly completed, you can now reattach the Audio and KeyKode Reader to
your Cintel Scanner. Connect the reader to your Cintel's XLR port and secure it with the three
M3 captive screws.
Do not attach the front covers of the reader yet as you will need to have access to the
components for the calibration and testing process.
