Lacing
Complete the lacing procedure as you would for 35mm film. Before pressing 'load' or manually
tensioning your 16mm film, make sure that the film is properly threaded over the drive wheels
smoothly to avoid damage to the film.

Switching to 8mm

The optional Cintel Scanner 8mm gate kit contains all the parts you'll require, making changes
to your scanner's setup minimal.

The 8mm kit contains the 8mm gate, two 8mm inner spacers, two outer spacers,
four 1mm spacers and two 8mm to Super 8mm reel adapters
Replacing the Skid Plate with the 8mm Gate
Swap the skid plate with the 8mm gate by pushing the retention levers down on the front of the
plate and turning them outwards. Now remove and replace it with the 8mm gate. When fitting
the gate, make sure the retention levers are lifted all the way up before turning them inwards or
the gate may not seat properly.

To secure the gate, lift the retention levers
all the way up and turn them inward
