5 Carefully pull the sub assembly off the reader, making sure that the audio arm PCB
connector passes through the hole in the main PCB. The mag head arm spring may detach
during this step. Keep it safe until the sub assembly is rebuilt.
Take the coil spring retainer and the preload spring off of the shoulder screw and the mag head
arm spring from the mounting socket.
Removing the Mag Head

1 On the back of the audio arm PCB, flip the connector latch to release the magnetic head
flex PCB. Once it is unlatched, pull out the flex PCB.

2 Unscrew the two M2 pan head screws using a PH00 driver to release the original mag head
PCB from the mag azimuth mount. You can now discard the old mag head PCB.
