INSTALLING THE HOOKLOADER ON THE CHASSIS
4.1
Checklist prior to installation
I.
Familiarize yourself with the bodybuilder guidelines of the truck's manufacturer.
II.
Ensure that the chassis of the vehicle is flat in the transverse direction.
a.
Make sure it's on a flat surface
b.
Check the suspension alignment.
Important:
Do not fit a boltable hookloader onto a chassis which is not flat.
III.
Remove all items on top of the truck chassis (spare wheels, temporary mudguards etc.)
IV.
Clean the upper surface of the chassis and bottom surface of the hookloader.
a.
If supplied in primer, paint the bottom surface of the hookloader in chassis paint.
4.2
Positioning the boltable hookloader
1.
Use your bodybuilder drawing to determine the right positions and dimensions.
2.
Shorten your 'truck chassis rear overhang' to the correct length
3.
After shortening the chassis length refit removed parts:
a.
the drawbar
b.
The trailer coupling
4.
Only applicable with subframe extensions: Cut the sub frame to length, use the end of
frame cutout as shown below in figure 4.1.
