Connecting the donor
If diverting the initial bolus of blood is desired: Prior to connecting the donor, close the

blue pinch clamp just below the Y-connector.
Perform venipuncture.

Taking a donor sample and priming the system

Open the white pinch clamps on the donor line and on the tubing leading to the blood
sample bag.
Allow the blood sample bag to fill to the desired volume.

When the blood sample bag contains the desired volume, close the white pinch clamp on

the sample bag tubing. Leave the clamp on the donor line open.
If the blue pinch clamp was closed to divert the initial bolus of blood, open the blue pinch

clamp.
Note: Failure to open the blue pinch clamp before touching
"start draw" will result in an "access pressure too low" alert.
