12.1
Preparation for storage
WARNING
Do not remove the fuel in enclosed spaces, near fire
or when smoking. Petrol fumes can cause explosions
and fire.
1. Empty the fuel tank using a petrol extraction pump.
2. Start the engine and let it run until the remaining fu-
el is used up.
3. Store fuel in tanks specifically designed for this pur-
pose.
4. Change the oil at the end of every season.
5. To do so, remove the used engine oil from a warm
engine and refill with fresh oil.
6. Remove the spark plug (28).
7. Fill the cylinder with approx. 20 ml of oil from an oil
can.
8. Pull the pull starter slowly so that the oil protects the
inside of the cylinder.
9. Screw the spark plug (28) back in.
10. The ignition key (B) must always be removed from
the ignition lock (14) and stored securely to prevent
unauthorised or improper use by children and other
persons.
11. When the product is taken out of service for an ex-
tended period of time, before starting work on or
near electrical components, disconnect the battery
connection cable (17a) from the engine connection
cable (17b). We recommend removing the battery
(17) and storing it fully charged in a dry and locked
room.
12. Store the product in a well-ventilated place or area.
12.2
Removing the battery (17)
(Fig. 1, 3)
1. Remove the battery compartment cover (10) by un-
screwing the two screws with the Phillips screw-
driver (F) provided.
2. Disconnect the battery connection cable (17a) and
the engine connection cable (17b).
3. Then loosen the two screws (16b) of the battery
bracket (17c) with the Phillips screwdriver (F).
4. Remove the battery (17).
5. Pull the protective caps off both poles of the battery
(17).
6. Remove the two pole cables from the battery (17)
with the enclosed Phillips screwdriver (F).
Ensure that batteries are secured against unauthorised
use (e.g. by children).
Charge the battery during the winter 1-2 times to
ensure that the full charging capacity is maintained.
Incorrect storage can damage the battery. In this
case, the warranty is void.
12.3
Drain fuel with a petrol extraction
pump (Fig. 13)
In case of storage over a longer period of time, the fuel
must be drained.
1. Hold a collection container under the hose of the
petrol extraction pump (not included in the scope of
delivery).
2. Unscrew the fuel filler cap (2). The fuel filler cap (2)
is connected to an anti-loss device in the fuel tank
(21) and thus cannot fall off.
3. Remove the fuel filter insert (20).
4. Push the hose of the petrol extraction pump into the
fuel tank (21) and drain out the of the petrol ex-
traction pump completely using the petrol extraction
pump.
5. Reinsert the fuel filter insert (20).
6. Retighten the fuel filler cap (2).
13 Transport
Preparation for transport
1. Empty the fuel tank using a petrol extraction pump
(not included in the scope of delivery) into a collec-
tion container.
2. If operational, keep the engine running until the re-
maining fuel has been used up.
3. Drain the motor oil of the warm motor.
4. Remove the spark plug connector from the spark
plug.
5. The power generator can be transported simply and
easily using the trolley function. To do this, fold the
transport handle out and up and pull the product to
the desired location.
6. The product can be lifted and moved via the handle.
7. Secure the product against slipping using a tension
strap, for example.
14 Repair & ordering spare parts
After repairs or maintenance, make sure that all safety-
related parts are installed and are in perfect condition.
All parts which may cause injury must be kept where
they are inaccessible to children or others.
ATTENTION
According to the German Product Liability Act, no lia-
bility is accepted for damage caused by improper re-
pairs or by not using original spare parts.
Such work should be performed by a customer ser-
vice centre or an authorised specialists. The same
applies to accessory parts.
Connections and repairs
Connections and repair work on the electrical equip-
ment may only be carried out by electricians.
