9. Electrical connection
NOTICE
To avoid malfunction, use only original Alde cables.
Never fasten 12 V or sensor cables with 230 V cables. Keep cables apart.
If cables are bundled together, the risk of malfunction during use increases.
CAUTION
Do not connect 12 V to the heating system until the heating system is filled with glycol mixture.
9.1 Connection 12 V DC
• 12 The electricity supply to the boiler must come directly from the battery via the vehicle's master
switch (Fig. 22, item 1), or a separate switch (the boiler uses approx. 70 mA when in sleep mode,
or is switched off).
• A 5 A fuse (Fig. 22, item 2) must be installed closest to the battery. The positive and negative cables
between battery and boiler must have a cross-sectional area of 1.5 mm
(10 m for the positive cable and 10 m for the negative). For longer cables, the cross-sectional area
must be 2.5 mm .

• If used instead of a the battery, a transformer must be of high quality and provide constant direct
current, not pulsing.
• Item 3 (Fig.22) is the connection to the boiler, or if the option card is installed, (Fig. 21, item 1,
page 49). The option card is always pre-installed on the 3030 Plus.
NOTICE
There must be no voltage spikes or voltage loss in the 12 V feed to the boiler.

Electrical accident
The boiler must be earthed.
9.2 230-240 V AC connection
The boiler must be fitted with a fixed 230 V AC connection and to be protected by:
• one 10 A fuse for a 2 kW immersion heater,
• one 16 A fuse for a 3 kW immersion heater.
• 230 VAC must be carefully separated from 12 V.
Provide a means to disconnect the power supply to the boiler, either by an easily accessible plug or an
all-pole switch.
