5.4 Installing a wall flue
The boiler must be installed with an original flue from Alde. Never install a wall flue on a floor or ceiling.
The flue must never be blocked. When deciding on placement, remember that the flue must always be
able to vent flue gases adequately.
• A wall flue should be installed on as level a surface as possible, and so that air can circulate freely
past it.
Fig. 5, Placement, wall flue
• Lateral distance to the projecting part must be min. 200 mm, see Fig. 6.
• The flue may not be installed closer than 300 mm laterally from openable windows or ventilation
intakes. Nor may the flue be installed under openable windows or ventilation intakes.
See Figs. 6. If the flue is installed closer than above, a window switch (part number 3010 280) must
be installed, which shuts off the LPG supply when the window is opened.
• Distance from flue to ventilation intake under the vehicle must be min. 300mm.
Fig. 6, Distance to wall flue
• Distance from flue to filling point or fuel vent must be min. 500 mm.
To ensure boiler operation, never install any object within a radius of 300 mm around the flue (not a
regulatory requirement). Always comply with national provisions in force.
Procedure:
• Mark the centre of the point where the flue is to be installed. Drill an 83 mm hole through the outer wall.
• First fit the gasket (Fig. 7, item 1) and then screw the flue securely (Fig. 7, item 2) using the six
self-tapping screws supplied. Note that the flue must be installed with the bend upwards. The flue
is marked TOP/OPEN.

• If the surface of the vehicle is textured, e.g. shot peened panels, use a sealant for bodywork around
the gasket.
• Fit the plastic cap (Fig. 7, item 3) and O-ring (Fig. 7, item 4) using the two screws supplied.
