11. Install the cover and tighten
the screws.
12. Turn the fuel tank cap air vent
knob to OFF after the engine
has completely cooled down.
13. Tighten further if any screws,
bolts and nuts are loose.
14. Store the generator in a dry,
well-ventilated place, with the
cover placed over it.

Engine

Perform the following steps to pro-
tect the cylinder, piston ring, etc.
from corrosion.
1. Remove the spark plug, pour
about one tablespoon of SAE
10W-30 or 20W-40 motor oil
into the spark plug hole and
install the spark plug. Recoil
start the engine by turning
over several times (with igni-
tion off) to coat the cylinder
walls with oil.
2. Pull the recoil starter until you
feel compression. Then stop
pulling. (This prevents the
cylinder and valves from rust-
ing).
3. Clean exterior of the genera-
tor and apply a rust inhibitor.
4. Store the generator in a dry,
well-ventilated place, with the
cover placed over it.
5. The generator must remain in

Moteur

Exécutez les étapes suivantes pour
protéger le cylindre, le segment de
piston, etc., contre la corrosion.
1. Déposez la bougie, versez en-
viron une cuillerée à soupe
d'huile moteur SAE 10W-30
ou 20W-40 dans l'orifice de
bougie et installez la bougie.
Lancez plusieurs fois le moteur
à l'aide du lanceur à rappel
(avec l'allumage coupé) de
façon à revêtir la chemise du
cylindre d'un film d'huile.
2. Tirez le lanceur à rappel
jusqu'à ce que vous sentiez une
compression. Arrêtez alors de
tirer sur le cordon du lanceur.
(Cela prévient la corrosion du
cylindre et des soupapes.)
3. Nettoyez l'extérieur du généra-
teur et appliquez un inhibiteur
de corrosion.
4. Remisez le générateur à un en-
droit sec et bien ventilé, avec le
couvercle posé par-dessus.
5. Le générateur doit rester en po-
sition verticale lors du remisa-
ge, du transport et de l'utilisa-
tion.
