7.2 Manual Seat Functions
7.2.1 Safety Instructions
WARNING
Risk of injury due to exposed pinch points in the seat ad-
justment area.
n Note that when manual seat options are used, inher-
ent pinch and shear points are located between the
seat frame and the power wheelchair frame.

n Ensure that no body parts, such as hands or feet, are
in the danger area while manual seat options are
used.
n Ensure that no interfering objects, such as clothing or
other obstacles, are in the danger area while manual
seat options are used.

7.2.2 Mechanically Elevating Footrest

The B600 power wheelchair can be equipped with mechan-
ically elevating footrests (see Figure 38).
To elevate the footrest:
n Activate the release lever on the footrest (the gas com-
pression spring is activated, see arrow in Figure 38).
n Move the footrest into the desired position.
n Allow the release lever to engage (the gas compression
spring is deactivated).
