Preparing Power Wheelchairs with Back Angle Adjust-
ment for Transport
To obtain the folding size, the following must be done with
the back angle adjustment:
n Release the cross bolt at the lower end of the drive unit
(by pushing up the lever, see arrow in Figure 36).
n Remove the bolt from the holder.
n Remove the side panels and fold down the seat back
onto the seat bottom.

To put a power wheelchair with back angle adjustment into
operation:
n Unfold the back rest.
n Insert the cross bolt at the end of the drive unit into the
holder.
n Lock the bolt (by pushing down the lever) so the latch
engages the bolt (Figure 36).
Verify that the back angle adjustment bolt and

7.1.5 Electrically Footrests

„Electric Seat Functions" > „Safety Instructions for Use".
To avoid permanent pressure loads or to ensure anti-shock
positioning, the power wheelchair offers the possibility of
mounting electrically adjustable footrests (Figure 37). With
the control unit in "additional function" mode, the right and
left footrest can be selected separately or simultaneously. To
adjust them, use the joystick.
The amount of space available for getting into or out of the
wheelchair can be increased by flipping the footplates up.
