Deactivation via control panel
1. Press the On/Off button to turn on the control unit.
2. Move the joystick to the front end position until you hear
a beep.
3. Move the joystick to the rear end position until you hear
a beep.
4. Release the joystick.
5. Another beep confirms the successful deactivation of
the drive-away lock.
6. The speed level and battery indicator appear on the
LCD monitor and the control unit is ready for driving.
Now the drive-away lock is deactivated and the wheelchair
can be driven.
INFORMATION
If the joystick is not moved correctly, the drive-away lock
remains activated. In order to deactivate the drive-away
lock, the control unit must be switched off. The power
wheelchair can be switched on again and the drive-away
lock can be deactivated.

Deactivation via separate LCD monitor
An information window is shown on the LCD monitor after
the power wheelchair is switched on. The deactivation proc-
ess is the same as described under "Deactivation via con-
trol panel".

6.3.8 Steering Lock

INFORMATION
The steering lock can be activated in the manner descri-
bed below if the "Steering Lock" parameter is set to "On".
The steering lock parameter is set to „Off" by default. The
factory setting may also have been set to "On" by the spe-
cialist dealer or at the factory according to the order. Ple-
ase ask your specialist dealer about the setting selected
for your wheelchair.
The enAble50 control unit in the power wheelchair may be
programmed with the optional „Steering Lock" parameter.
If the steering lock is activated, the caster wheels or the
drive wheels (depending on the type) are set straight ahead.
This makes it easier to negotiate narrow ramps and to use
elevators.
