Operation
n When the joystick is deflected forward, the power
wheelchair drives straight ahead.
n When the joystick is deflected backward, the power
wheelchair drives straight back.
n Turning is not possible when the steering lock is activa-
ted.
n The warning flasher lights flash when the steering lock
is activated (standard programming).
Activating the Steering Lock
1. Bring the power wheelchair to a full stop.
2. Push the [Warning Flasher] button.
is activated. All warning flasher lights flash (standard
programming).
3. Move the joystick forward/backward. The power
wheelchair only drives straight ahead or back.
Deactivating the Steering Lock
1. Bring the power wheelchair to a full stop.
2. Push the [Warning Flasher] button.
is deactivated. All warning flasher lights stop flashing.
3. Move the joystick. The power wheelchair now drives in
the chosen direction without steering lock.

The C1000 DS power wheelchair comes with effective LED
front and rear lighting as standard equipment. The lighting
functions are activated and deactivated via the controller.
The warning flashers and right / left direction indicator lights
are activated using the control panel.
Front lights
INFORMATION
The front lights may only be installed and removed by au-
thorised personnel.
The steering lock
An LED headlight and LED direction indicator light are at-
tached to the right and left splash guards of the drive
wheels, respectively.
