WARNING
Risk of accidents and injury due to lack of brake func-
tionality.
n No brake functionality is available when the brake is
unlocked (push mode).
n When moving the power wheelchair on an incline, the
person pushing must provide the appropriate brake force.
n The brake function may only be released in the pre-
sence of an attendant.
n Should the user be unable to release the brake him-
self, the brake can be released by the attendant.
NOTICE
Risk of damage when parking the wheelchair with the
brake deactivated. Deactivating the brake may result in
uncontrolled rolling of the power wheelchair. Therefore,
make sure that the brake is engaged when parking the
power wheelchair.
In case of control unit failure or insufficient battery capacity,
the power wheelchair can be pushed. To do so, the brake is
released by mechanically unlocking it. The brake release
mechanism is located between the frame and seat (see Fig-
ure 24).

Releasing the brake
For safety reasons, you first have to pull out the brake re-
lease bolt.
INFORMATION
In this position, the brake still has to be engaged! If the
pushing function is already active, please contact your
specialist dealer.
INFORMATION
When the joystick is activated while the brake is deacti-
vated, the control unit emits an error signal on the control
panel. If this is not the case, there is a malfunction that
must be corrected immediately by a specialist dealer.
Now the brake release lever has been released and can be
pushed back to the stop.
