General Information
The C1000 DS power wheelchair may only be used by
properly trained persons. Training in the use of the
C1000 DS power wheelchair is required to protect persons
from danger and to ensure that the C1000 DS power wheel-
chair is operated safely and correctly.
Safe operation of the C1000 DS power wheelchair can only
be assured if it is used for the intended purpose in accord-
ance with the information in these instructions for use. The
user is ultimately responsible for accident-free operation.

Field of application

The versatility of the C1000 DS power wheelchair and its
modular design make it suitable for users who have walking
impediments or walking inabilities due to:
n Paralysis
n Loss of limbs
n Limb defects / deformities
n Joint contractures / defects
n Other disorders
The C1000 DS power wheelchair was designed especially
for users who are able to move independently in such a
power wheelchair.

The following points should also be considered for individual
fittings:
n Body height and body weight (standard version: max.
load capacity 140 kg (309 lbs) / optional 200 kg
(440 lbs); version with seat height adjustment: 130 kg
(287 lbs) / optional 200 kg (440 lbs); version with high-
er-performance batteries 94 Ah (C5): max. load capaci-
ty 140 kg (309 lbs), when using the seat height adjust-
ment 130 kg (287 lbs))
