WARNING
Risk of injury due to explosive gases. Explosive gases can
develop while the batteries are charging. The following safety
instructions must be observed under all circumstances:
n Ensure sufficient ventilation when charging the batte-
ries in an enclosed room.
n Smoking and fire are not permitted.
n Sparks must be avoided.
n Do not cover the air vents in the trim.
CAUTION
Risk of injury due to uncontrolled movements. The fuse
must always be removed for any maintenance work where
the battery cover is open.
NOTICE
Unauthorised battery replacement. Battery replacement
or changing the battery installation location may only be
completed by a specialist dealer. The charging profile of
the battery charger established at the factory corresponds
to the battery included in the scope of delivery and may not
be independently altered. Setting the characteristic curve
incorrectly can result in permanent damage to the battery.

NOTICE
Risk of damage to the electronics caused by short cir-
cuits. Always use insulated tools during all maintenance
work on the batteries. Ensure correct polarity is used when
connecting the battery cables. The black cable must be
connected to the negative pole and the red cable to the
positive pole.
NOTICE
Risk of damage to electronics due to water penetration.
Never use a water jet or high-pressure cleaning apparatus
to clean the power wheelchair. Water must not come into
direct contact with the electronics, motor or battery.
NOTICE
Risk of damage due to uncontrolled movements. When
raising the wheelchair, secure it against slipping and tip-
ping sideways by using a suitable block under the drive
unit sustainer.
INFORMATION
The power wheelchair must be inspected for functional re-
liability and operational safety at least once a year by an
authorised specialist.
