Information on the detection threshold
The achievable sensitivity for collision detection (SPP) depends on the overall
system.
A practical detection threshold can only be determined in the final application.
A detection threshold greater than 0 mA must be defined for both directions of
travel.
Collision detection (SPP) is considerably less sensitive in the direction of force than
in the opposite direction (e.g. when lifting loads).
This performance is improved by using parameter 99
on page 227 to set the collision detection in the direction of force and increasing
the detection sensitivity.
This is only practical for systems in which there is only a risk of collision in one
direction.
"Sync-BUS settings" menu
If a stop function (safety edge or stop input switch) is required
for a sync BUS system, the stop function must be connected to
the master control.
The collision detection (SPP) function can be activated,
configured and used on every control in the sync BUS system.
8.5.5.1
"Start search for controls" menu
This function searches for connected controls
and activates the BUS connection.
This function cannot be activated when drive group
management is activated.
◼ The synchronisation bus is connected.
Prerequisite:
◼ The hand switch on the master control is connected.
◼ The main menu for the hand switch is displayed.
