The basic height of the safety edge when not actuated is marked "h" (Figure 25).
In order for the safety edge to be triggered, it has to be deformed by the actuation path
"b". The safety edge is not active until this has happened.
After the safety edge has been actuated, it can be deformed by the overrun distance
"n".
The maximum stopping distance, e.g. of the Multilift II version, is 1.5 mm
"Stopping distance" on page 171.

NOTE!
Material damage to the safety edge!
If the deformation of the safety edge is greater than the
overrun distance "n", there is a risk of material damage and
malfunctions on the safety edge.
– Be aware that not all safety edges have an overrun distance.
– Replace damaged safety edges.
The overrun distance of the safety edge must be greater than the
stopping distance of the drive/lifting column.
