Fuel mixture
Mix the fuel with 2-stroke oil in a suitable container.
Shake the container to mix everything thoroughly.
m ATTENTION! Never use pure petrol for this chain-
saw. This will damage the engine and you will lose
your warranty claim for this product. Do not use a fu-
el mixture that has been stored for more than 90 days.
m ATTENTION! Special 2-stroke oil for air-cooled
2-stroke engines with a mixing ratio of 40:1 must be
used. Insufficient oiling will damage the engine and
you will lose your warranty claim for the engine.

Never start or operate the chainsaw if the chain and
the chain brake lever or the front hand guard have
not been properly installed. In addition, always start
with the chain brake active. Proceed as follows for
this:
• Hold the saw by the front handle (4).
• Push the front hand guard (3) forwards to posi-
tion (3b). Open the throttle briefly, the saw chain
should not move.
• Draw the front hand guard (3) back to position (3a).
Open the throttle, the saw chain should move.
After filling the fuel and chain oil tanks, close the
tank lid by hand.
Do not use tools to do so.
Recommended fuels
Some conventional petrols are mixed with additives
such as alcohol or ether compounds in order to com-
ply with clean exhaust gas standards. The engine
runs satisfactorily with all types of petrol for self-pro-
pulsion, including oxygen-enriched petrol. It is best
to use unleaded regular petrol with a max. of 5%
bioethanol.
Oiling the saw chain and guide rail
Every time the fuel tank is filled with petrol, the chain-
saw oil tank must also be refilled. It is recommended
to use standard saw chain oil.
1. Place the chainsaw on the side of the chain drive
housing cover (17).
2. Remove the oil tank opening cover (14) and the
fuel tank cover (12).
3. Fill the chainsaw oil tank (Fig. 9/Pos.D1) to 80%
with saw chain oil.

m NOTE
Check that the chain brake is working properly
before each use.
• Hold the saw by the front handle (4).
• Push the front hand guard (3) forwards to posi-
tion (3b). Open the throttle briefly, the saw chain
should not move.
• Draw the front hand guard (3) back to position (3a).
Open the throttle, the saw chain should move.
Checking the oil supply
To check the saw chain lubrication, hold the chain-
saw with the saw chain over a sheet of paper and
give it full throttle for a few seconds. The oil quantity
can be checked on the paper.
m NOTE
Always ensure that there is enough oil in the oil tank
for saw chain lubrication.
Automatic saw chain lubrication – fine adjust-
ments possible!
8. Operation
m Attention!
Always make sure the product is fully assembled
before commissioning!
m CAUTION
Please observe the legal provisions from the noise
protection ordinance.
Before each commissioning, check the device for the
following:
• Leak-tightness of the fuel system
• Faultless condition and completeness of the guards
and the cutting device
• All screw connections are tight
• Smooth running of all moving parts
Starting the engine (Fig. 10-13)
Never start or operate the chainsaw if the chain and
the chain brake lever or the front hand guard have
not been properly installed. In addition, always start
with the chain brake active.,Proceed as follows for
this:
• Remove the cover (15) from the guide rail (2).
