• Unscrew the fastening nut of the air filter housing
cover (Fig. 18/Pos. 6) and remove the housing cov-
er. (See fig. 16)
• Remove the air filter (H).
• Clean the air filter. Wash the air filter in clean,
warm soapy water. Allow it to dry completely in
the air.
• Insert the air filter. Put the air filter housing cover
on. Make sure that the air filter housing cover is
fitted correctly (S-V). Tighten the fastening nut on
the air filter housing cover. (See fig. 16)
m NOTE
It is advisable to have spare filters in stock.
Oil supply opening (Fig. 20)
• Check the oil supply opening (K) after each use.
• Remove the guide rail.
• Check the oil supply opening (K) for blockages.
Guide rail (Fig. 23-24)
• Clean the guide rail after each use.
• Detach this guide rail from the machine.
• Remove sawdust from the guide rail and in the oil
channel (Fig. 23/Pos. 1).
• Oil the deflection pulley (Fig. 24/Pos. 2/3) through
the maintenance opening using an oil gun.
Cylinder ribs (Fig. 20)
• Clean the cylinder fins (M) after each use. Use
compressed air at low pressure or a brush.
m ATTENTION! Wear safety goggles.
• Dust and dirt between the cylinder fins can cause
the machine to overheat.
Further maintenance points before each use
• Check the device for leaks from the oil or fuel tank.
• Check the device for loose parts and screws. In
particular, the saw chain, guide rail and handles.
• If you determine that the machine is defective, rec-
tify it immediately.
Oil/fuel filter (Fig. 21)
m ATTENTION! Never operate the chainsaw with-
out the oil/fuel filter (L1/L2). The oil/fuel filter must
be cleaned after 100 operating hours or replaced if
damaged. Empty the oil/fuel tank before replacing
the oil/fuel filter.
• Remove the oil/fuel tank cover (12/14).
• Bend a soft wire into shape.
• Insert it into the oil/fuel tank's opening and hook it
onto the oil/fuel hose. Pull the oil/fuel hose care-
fully towards the opening until you can grasp it
with your fingers.

m NOTE
Do not pull the hose out of the tank completely.
• Lift the oil/fuel filter (L1/L2) out of the oil/fuel tank.
• Turn and remove the oil/fuel filter, and clean it. If it
is damaged, dispose of the oil/fuel filter.
• Insert a new or cleaned oil/fuel filter. Insert the
end of the oil/fuel filter into the oil/fuel tank open-
ing. Ensure that the oil/fuel filter is located in the
bottom corner of the tank. Use a long screwdriver
to move the oil/fuel filter into the correct position.
• Fill the oil/fuel tank with fresh oil/fuel mixture. Then
seal the oil/fuel tank with the oil/fuel tank cover.
Spark plug (Fig. 17-19,22)
m ATTENTION! In order to ensure that the chain-
saw engine remains efficient, the spark plug (G) must
be clean and have the correct electrode gap (0.6-0.7
mm). The spark plug must be cleaned or replaced
every 20 operating hours.
• Set the ON/OFF switch (11) to "Stop".
• Remove the air filter housing cover (5) by turning
the air filter housing cover fixing nut (6) anti-clock-
wise. The air filter housing cover can then be re-
moved.
• Remove the spark plug connector from the spark
plug (G) while turning it.
• Remove the spark plug with the spark plug wrench
(20). Do not use any other tools.
• Use a copper wire brush to clean the spark plug or
insert a new one. (Fig. 22)
Adjusting the idle speed (Fig. 25)
If the saw chain continues to run when idling, the idle
speed must be corrected.
1. Remove the stopper (T).
2. Let the engine warm up for 3-5 minutes (no high
engine speeds!).
3. Turn the adjusting screw (R) with the help of a
slotted screwdriver:
Clockwise
- Idle speed increases (+)
Counter clockwise
- Idle speed decreases (-)
Max. idle speed: 3300 rpm
Contact the manufacturer if the saw chain still contin-
ues to run with the engine at idle.
Attention! Do not continue working with the chain-
saw under any circumstances!
Important: Do not make any adjustments at the L/H
stopper.
Gasifier setting
The gasifier was pre-set to the optimal output at the
factory. If follow-up adjustment are required, take the
saw to the authorised customer service provider.
