CE marks, conformity description
The unit has been manufactured using up-to-date production equipment and has left
our works in perfect and safe condition. It complies with the safety requirements to
EN 61 010 norms and regulations 'Saftey requirements for electrical measurement,
control and laboratory instrumentation'
The unit described in these instructions therefore fulfils the legal requirements set by the
EU guide lines. The manufacturer confirms a positive completion of all tests by fitting the
unit with a CE mark.
2.2
Delivery contents
The delivery contents of a temperature field transmitter are as follows:
• Filed transmitter
• Installation screws, installation springs and circlips
• Operating instructions
• ATEX operating instructions for use in hazardous areas.
Note:
Please take note of the field transmitter accessories in chapter 8.
2.3
Device certification FOUNDATION Fieldbus
The iTEMP TMT 165 temperature field transmitter has passed all the test procedures
implemented and has been certified and registered by the Fieldbus FOUNDATION. The
flowmeter thus meets all the requirements of the specifications listed below:
• Certified to fieldbus specification, revision status 1.3
Device certification number: IT005700
• The measuring device meets all the specifications of the FOUNDATION Fieldbus-H1.
• The measuring device may also be operated using certified devices from other
manufacturers (interoperability).

Installation
3.1
Installation conditions
• When installing and operating the unit, please take note of the allowable ambient
temperature (see page 108)
• When operating in hazardous areas please take note and operate within the limits set
in the certification (see ATEX-Operation Manual XA009R/09/a3).
Dimensions
The field transmitter dimensions can be found in chapter 10 "Technical Data".
Installation angle
There are no limits as to the angle on installation.
