11.7 PID Function Block (PID controller)

A PID Function Block contains the input channel processing, the proportional integral-
differential control (PID) and the analogue output channel processing. The configuration
Simulation of the input value and input status.
Since this value runs through the entire algorithm, the behaviour of the
Analogue Input Function Block can be checked.
Factory default:
Simulation Disabled
2
Note!
The parameter BLOCK_ERROR of the Resource Block shows whether
simulation is possible
Displays the revision status of the static data.
2
Note!
The revision status parameter is incremented on each modification of static
data.
Parameter for grouping and thus faster evaluation of blocks. Grouping is
carried out by entering the same numerical value in the parameter
STRATEGY for each individual block.
Factory default:
0
2
Note!
This data is neither checked nor processed by the Analogue Input Function
Block.
Entry of a user-specific text of max. 32 characters for unique identification
and assignment of the block.
Factory default:
(_____) without text
Displays whether static block data has been modified, including date and
time.
In this parameter group the measurement range of the sensor is scaled and
the unit of the process variable is determined.
User input:
Measurement range of the sensor
Factory default:
Analogue Input Function Block = -200 to 850 °C
2
Note!
• Defining the measurement range in this parameter group does not repre-
sent a restriction. If the value is outside the measurement range, it is trans-
ferred nonetheless.
• The unit selected in this parameter group is also valid for the Transducer
Block.
• Entry of the measurement range via the parameter XD_SCALE does not
restrict the output.
• A description of the rescaling of an input value via the parameter
XD_SCALE can be found on page 125.
