14. Set the operating mode in the parameter group MODE_BLK (parameter TARGET)
to AUTO.
'Analogue input function block' configuration
The TMT 165 has two analogue input function blocks that can be assigned the process
variables for 'Temperature 1' or 'Temperature 2' in the operating mode 'Two channel'.
The following description provides an example for the 'Analogue input function block 1'.
15. Enter the desired name for the Analogue Input Function Block.
16. Open the Analogue Input Function Block.
17. Set the operating mode in the parameter group MODE_BLK (parameter TARGET)
to OOS, i.e. block Out Of Service.
18. Using the parameter CHANNEL select the process variable that is to be used as
input variable for the function block algorithm (scaling and limit value monitoring
functions). The following configurations are possible:
– CHANNEL = 1 (Temperatur 1)
– CHANNEL = 2 (Temperatur 2)
19. In the parameter group XD_SCALE select the required engineering unit (°C, K, °F,
°R) as well as the block input range (temperature application measurement range)
for the selected process variable.
Caution!
Make sure that the selected unit of measure is suitable for the measurement varia-
ble of the selected process variable. Otherwise the parameter BLOCK_ERROR will
display the error message 'Block Configuration Error'.
20. Using the parameter L_TYPE select the linearisation type to be used for the input
value (direct, indirect, indirect sq root) → see page 123
Parameter configuration
Configuration of two transducer blocks is only required in this operating
mode. each sensor or process temperature requires one transducer block.
Using the parameter SENOR_TRANSDUCER_NUMBER the block is
allocated to sensor 1 or sensor 2.
