The block status OOS is also shown via the parameter BLOCK_ERR (see page 119).

11.3.2 Alarm detection and processing

The Transducer Block does not generate any process alarms. The status of the process
variables of the Transducer Block is evaluated in the subsequent Analogue Input
Function Blocks. If the Analogue Input Function Block receives no input value that can
be evaluated from the Transducer Block then a process alarm is generated. This
process alarm is displayed in the parameter BLOCK_ERR of the Analogue Input
Function Block (see page 129) (BLOCK_ERR = Input Failure).
The parameter BLOCK_ERR of the Transducer Block (see page 119) displays the
device error that produced the input value that could not be evaluated and thus
triggered the process alarm in the Analogue Input Function Block.

11.3.3 Transducer block parameters

The following table shows all the available parameters of the Transducer Block. A gray
background marks the manufacturer-specific parameters. These parameters are not
accessible until the access code has been entered.
Transducer Block
Write access with
operating mode
(MODE_BLK)
Static/read only
AUTO - OOS
Displays the active block error.
Display:
OUT OF SERVICE
The block has status 'Out of service'.
INPUT FAILURE
Sensor error or limit active
Displays the current (Actual) and desired (Target) operating mode of the
Transducer Block, the permitted modes (Permitted) supported by the
Resource Block and the normal operating mode (Normal).
Display:
AUTO
OOS
2
Note!
The Transducer Block supports the following operating modes:
• AUTO (automatic operation)
The block is executed.
• OOS (Out Of Service)
The block has the status 'Out Of Service'. The process variable (Volume
Flow or Totaliser) is updated, but the status of the process variable
changes to BAD
Displays the actual measured value and status that has been made
available to the Analogue Input Block.
