The temperature field transmitter requires no specific maintenance.

Troubleshooting
9.1
Troubleshooting instructions
Always start troubleshooting with the checklists below if faults occur after start up or
during operation. The routine takes you directly to the cause of the problem and the
appropriate remedial measures.
Faulty connection to the fieldbus host system
Connection cannot be made between the fieldbus host system and the field transmitter.
Check the following points:
Fieldbus connection
Fieldbus connector (option)
Fieldbus voltage
Network structure
Basic current
Terminator
Current consumption
Permissible feed current
Device description (DD)
Problems with function block configuration
Transducer Block:
The operating mode cannot
be set to AUTO.
Check the fieldbus connection
– Check pin assignment/wiring → page 91
– Check connection between connector/fieldbus port.
Is the coupling nut tightened correctly?
Check that a min. bus voltage of 9 V DC is present at terminals 26/27.
Permissible range: 9 to 32 V DC
Check permissible fieldbus length and number of spurs
→ page 87
Is there a basic current of min. 12 mA?
Is the FOUNDATION Fieldbus-H1 network correctly terminated?
Each bus segment must always be terminated with a bus terminator at
both ends (start and finish). Otherwise interference may affect
communication.
Check the current consumption of the bus segment:
The current consumption of the bus segment in question (= total of basic
currents of all fieldbus devices) must not exceed the max. permissible
feed current of the fieldbus power supply.
Instal the DD if you cannot access the manufacturer-specific parameters.
Set the operating mode of the Resource Block to 'AUTO'. (out of
operation).
