CONNECTOR SPECIFICATION
GENERAL
The connections to/from the digital module are identical for both IDTV and STB applications.
The connectors which will link from either Front-End PCB or the MPEG PCB to the STB Motherboard, IDTV analogue PCB or the
smart card sub-board will use 1mm FFC connectors and cable. with the exception of the main DC power connector which will use a
2.5mm through hole system.
All the connections between the Front-end and MPEG PCBs will use 1mm FFC cable and connectors.
CONNECTIONS BETWEEN CHASSIS/MOTHERBOARD AND FRONT-END PCB
(FOR COMPLETE MODULE).
A 2.5mm pitch connector is used.

Note 1: 4 way connector is used for terrestrial, 7 way for satellite.
Note 2: This signal is defined in detail in the note 4 related to connector E later in this document.
Note 3: The 22kHz will be switched on/off and modulated as necessary for DiSeQC by the MPEG processor.
Note 4: The PLD ICs require a small static current to hold the chip contents in standby to remove the need for reprogramming on
exit from standby.
