SELF DIAGNOSTICS

The TV has a method of detecting, recording and reporting details of self detected faults in order to assist in fault diagnosis,
particularly with intermittent faults.
Each recorded fault is given a fault code number and a status value. The status value consists of an indication of the fault being
currently present, how recently the problem occurred and how many times the fault has occurred. This information is stored in the
EEPROM so that it is retained until cleared by the service menu or the diagnostic interface. The occurrence of a fault results in the
present indication for that failure to be set and the failure count for that failure to be incremented up to 9.
In addition, when failures with code numbers lower than 0100 occur, the power status LED will flash to indicate the number of the
fault that has occurred. For instance, to indicate fault code 3 the LED will flash 3 times in succession followed by a pause, after
which the sequence will repeat.
The currently supported fault codes are as follows: -
