Cleaning the air cleaner element
The air cleaner element filters dirt f r o m the
air entering the carburetor, keeping engine
wear to an absolute m i n i m u m . This model
uses a paper type element which provides very
effective filtering action.
1. L i f t the seat and remove the bolt holding
the tank.
2. T u r n the fuel petcock lever to " O F F "
Position and disconnect the fuel pipes.
3. Lift the fuel tank, and remove the bolts
holding the cleaner case cover. Pull out
the element.
