2. Refill with the same type of brake f l u i d ;
mixing fluids may result in a harmful
chemical reaction and lead to poor Per-
formance.
3. Be careful that water or other contamina-
tion does not enter the master cylinder
when refilling. Water will significantly
lower the boiling point and may result in
v a p o r l o c k .
4. Brake fluid may erode painted surfaces
or plastic parts. A l w a y s clean up spilled
fluid immediately.
5. Because brake fluid is water absorbent,
it should be changed at least once a year,
by a Y a m a h a dealer.
6. Have a Yamaha dealer check if the brake
f l u i d level goes d o w n faster than normal.
