N O T E :
Normal tap water contains minerals
which are harmful to a battery; there-
fore, refill o n l y with distilled water.
2. When the m o t o r c y c l e is not t o be used
for a month or longer, remove the bat-
tery and störe it in a c o o l , dark place.
Completely recharge the battery before
reusing.
3. If the battery is to be stored for a longer
period than the above, check the specific
gravity of the fluid at least once a month
and recharge the battery when it is too
low.
4. A l w a y s make sure the connections are
correct when putting the battery back in
the motorcycle. T h e red lead is for the
+ terminal and the black lead is for the
— terminal. Make sure the breather pipe
