The dip stick has a M i n i m u m and a M a x i m u m
mark, and the oil level should be between the
two. If the level is lower, then add sufficient
oil to raise it to the proper level. Düring the
break-in period, y o u should replace the gear
oil 30 days or 500 k m after the date of
purchase. The transmission should be drain-
ed and refilled approximately every 3,000
k m . O n the b o t t o m of the engine there is a
drain plug. Remove it and drain all the trans-
mission oil out. Reinstall the drain plug (make
sure it is tight). A n d oil through the dip stick
hole.
N O T E :
Do not add any chemical additives. Trans-
mission oil also lubricates the clutch and
additives c o u l d cause the clutch to slip.
