POWER LIMIT FUNCTION
When the Range Extender is connected to the bike, the motor limits power delivery to match the current delivery character-
istics of the Range Extender to prolong battery life. The assist features at each level and the option to change the assist level
remain within the new power limit.
This motor power delivery limit could be noticeable at higher assist levels.
Orbea recommends not modifying the assist and torque characteristics of the assist levels upwards using the Shimano
Etube application. Motor settings on Range Extender compatible bikes are optimised for use with the internal battery and
Range Extender.

JOINT CHARGE LEVEL
With the Range Extender connected to the bicycle (see Connection section), the system will calculate the total capacity of both
batteries and the information on the remaining charge of the system will be given by the sum of the charge levels and capaci-
ties of both batteries. The combined battery charge level will be visible on the Shimano remote control or displays and/or the
Orbea RS Toolbox data field for Garmin devices.
When the Range Extender is connected to the bicycle and runs out of charge, the system will once again use the available dis-
play mode (displays, switch unit or RS Toolbox) to only show the available charge of the internal battery, taking into account the
total capacity of the internal battery and not of the internal battery and Range Extender as a whole.

RANGE EXTENDER CHARGE LEVEL SEPARATELY
Press the main button on the Range Extender battery once to check the charge level. The LEDs will light up for 5 seconds in
25% segments to show the current charge level, from right to left.
